Design online exhibitions as standalone art experiences rather than mere substitutes, exploring innovative engagement strategies in the age of the attention economy.

Young curators often hold short-term exhibitions in remote areas due to limited resources, resulting in low visibility and minimal impact. At the same time, online exhibitions are growing but often lack immersive value. This project addresses both issues by transforming niche physical shows into standalone digital experiences—designed to expand reach and deepen audience engagement through attention design and narrative rhythm to guide user focus and increase engagement. The platform not only extends the reach of remote exhibitions but also redefines online viewing as a standalone artistic experience.

This project was commissioned by Visualpathy, a startup focused on panoramic content sharing and looking to expand its platform. They aimed to introduce an art exhibition feature to enrich their content and increase user traffic. I helped connect them with emerging curators—many of whom, constrained by limited resources, often host short-term exhibitions in remote suburban areas with minimal visibility.
Visualpathy’s 360 photography technology enables users to create, embed, and share both 360° photos and videos with ease.
Challenges Faced by Each Party
Curators face limited funding, remote venues, and low visibility.
Visualpathy lacks engaging, high-value content to grow its user base.
Audiences miss niche exhibitions due to time, location, or lack of access.
